Bicester’s new Cocktail Bar and Wine Shop opens at Graven Hill

Independent operator, Wine Valley Limited, has launched Wine Rack and Wine Valley Cocktail Bar. The shop will sell a huge variety of world-wide wine, spirits and beer, including Trappist beers, alongside day-to-day groceries until the arrival of a new  convenience store at Graven Hill in Bicester Oxfordshire.

Pradeep Thangaraj, from Wine Valley Limited, said: “There are hundreds of people now living on site which meant that Graven Hill was the perfect location to launch this new concept. We are proposing a high end, friendly and cosy bar and shop which is in keeping with this high-quality development on the edge of Bicester, close to Bicester Designer Outlet Village.

“We are working closely with global drink brand company, Diageo, on this prototype venture and Graven Hill is the perfect launch pad. We are keen to appeal to all ages and want to provide a welcoming and relaxing place to meet and I’m planning a wide range of mocktails as part of our fantastic array of drinks.”

White Commercial Surveyors advising Graven Hill Development Company on the substantial commercial property aspects of the custom build residential development has leased the new facilities to Wine Valley Limited.  All of the commercial units on the Trinity scheme are now let/under offer.

Chris White, MD at White Commercial Surveyors said: “With almost 500 homes now occupied at the popular Graven Hill village it has become an attractive opportunity for commercial operators. We are also marketing a site at the front of this substantial scheme in order to attract a pub/restaurant operator to deliver a new development on the prominent frontage site.”

Graven Hill is the UK’s largest self and custom build residential development. A primary school is set to open in September, and will be run by the Warriner Academy Trust. Significant amenities planned include a sports pavilion, pitches and allotments with a community centre also set to be delivered by the local council.

Gemma Davis, customer experience director at Graven Hill Village Development Company (GHVDC), said: “This exciting venture will be fantastic for the Graven Hill community and it’s great to welcome Wine Valley Limited to the site. We’re delighted to have delivered on our promise to residents with this year’s opening of a licensed venue and a place to buy day to day groceries such as bread and milk.”

A pub/restaurant site and a 2nd Phase of retail and offices will also shortly be marketed by White Commercial. GHVDC is also seeking local contractors to tender for its next phase of new homes and apartments.
