MODERN OFFICES IN SHORT SUPPLY ALONG THE NORTHERN SECTOR OF THE LONDON TO BIRMINGHAM M40 MOTORWAY

Office occupiers are struggling to find modern office accommodation along the northern sector of the M40 with the region’s main towns of Banbury and Bicester seeing huge expansion in both their residential and working populations. Somerville Court at Banbury Business Park is one of the few locations that has three modern two-storey self-contained offices that provides cost effective accommodation available to lease or to purchase.

Banbury Business Park, an 18-acre site which previously provided the headquarters for Vodafone Retail, is dominated by Bibby Financial, Dematic, Sanctuary Housing and South Central Ambulance Service, who occupy close to 130,000 sq ft of office space between them. White Commercial are currently marketing three units ranging from 2,500 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft at Somerville Court.

Somerville Court, developed by Oxford & Cambridge Estates and The Church Commissioners, is well located between junction 10 (Cherwell Valley M40 Services) and Junction 11 (Banbury) of the M40 motorway and the three available units range from 2,500 to 5,000 sq ft with ample parking.

Chris White, Managing Director at White Commercial Surveyors comments “It is unusual for three modern office buildings to be available at this location where rents and capital values are nearly half those of similar buildings in Oxford, Leamington Spa and Warwick. We are aware of a number of office occupiers who are looking to relocate to the area or expand from poorer accommodation and who are currently benefiting from the economic growth within this region. White Commercial have been involved in Banbury Business Park since the late 1980s.”
